Blake Anderson

Blake Anderson has worked for the last 14 years in the field of civil engineering and land development, and presently works as a project manager for a Virginia based engineering firm. Currently studying at Southern Evangelical Seminary, he is engaging in a career change to pursue ministry full time. Having grown up in and studied under a fringe Christian sect / cult, in his early 20's Blake had to confront the mistaken and dangerous theology and philosophy of his tradition. Forced to reevaluate his set of beliefs, core values, and religious heritage he encountered a journey of exploring and challenging his deeply held convictions to find truth built on solid ground. Led by the Holy Spirit into new faith in the grace of Jesus Christ, Blake also found that the Christian faith had reasonable and trustworthy answers to the deepest and most probing questions. His goal is now to follow Jesus and teach Christians and non-Christians alike the value of the discipline of the Christian mind, to avoid error, and to passionately pursue truth.

I'm a young Christian apologist who found out at a dark point in my life about the truth of the faith I'd always held on a superficial and weak level. I have found the blessing of using my mind in defense of my Christian faith. I am now a blogger with my own blog at deeperwaters.wordpress.com, the department head of theistic metaphysics including apologetics and philosophy at Theologyweb, and a writer on the team at Tektonics.org. My other interests include video games, reading, and Smallville.
